Skylar Olsen, Senior Economist, Zillow

Skylar Olsen spends most of her days elbow deep in one of the world's richest repositories of real estate data trying to answer some simple and some not so simple questions. Are we in a bubble? Are millennials the perennial renters they are sometimes made out to be? How, after a huge housing bubble collapse, does housing feel so unaffordable to the average person? These questions are ultimately all about evolving demographics and the markets that can, or often can't, fully respond to meet the challenge. Come hear from Zillow Senior Economist Skylar Olsen about the roller coaster that is the U.S. housing market and her expectations for the future.

8:45 am

Keynote, Sally Jue, Consultant, Cook Ross

Leading implicit bias expert and master trainer Sally Jue, of consulting firm Cook Ross, will take conference participants on a journey through the deep unconscious mind to explore how our "hidden" biases affect our understanding of the world around us. In this engaging talk, attendees will have the opportunity to explore bias through their own background and identities and see how it affects our decision making and relationships. Mitigation and application in the closing remarks around action planning and application will provide inspirational, yet practical tips to mitigate bias and help us create more inclusive teams and organizations.
